Teaching again

"New teacher," Hary whispered as they entered the hall. The older brunette was sitting in the place where the DADA teacher sat, and from the serious way she held herself, it was obvious to everyone that she was a teacher.
Her sister (for they looked alike, minus the hair color at least) was sitting at the Gryffindor table. It would seem that a teacher had brought in a student who was a sister. This promised to be a very interesting semester.
Neither Harr...[Read Full Post]

Appearances

The two young women stepped off the train and stood out immediately. For one, their trunks were following them in the air. For another, they were both wearing 'Muggle' clothes. Predominant shades of blue set them apart from the other students... If they were students.
The older one did not seem that old. She had deep auburn hair and very jovial eyes. There was a constant smile on her lips, but the way she stood over the younger girl in blue testified tha...[Read Full Post]

Child of Light

Humming, I found myself sitting in front of Kurama on a Concorde. The cabin was quiet and spacious, and we were due to pick up more passenges from Paris, France but until then, Kurama and I were alone. We didn't speak much. There was no need to. Kurama and I worked well together because we were, in a way, quite alike. We shared part of the same heritage. What he didn't know about my heritage woulnd't hurt him of course.

He's a God?

I spent most of the following day helping Mama Ikari around the house. Once that I was done I sat at the back of the house, where there was a small patio overlooking a beautiful garden. In front of me was a zither, a long, rectangular wooden instrument with strings on it. I began to play it, relieving my younger days when hours would go by when I played it and Su would dance.
My fingers fairly flew across the instrument, and when I was done, only half-an-hour ha...[Read Full Post]

I like her, I really do!

A few days later I went off to Japan to see my sister. Our retinue this time around was much smaller. The only students were Sukina and Shuura. Kurama, Hiei and me were back to being teachers again, but while Hiei would accompany Sukina and Shuura, Kurama and I would be leaving early to set up things there. We were also going to find out what was happening in England.
I landed at the airport, not really expecting anyone to pick me up. This time I had a CD...[Read Full Post]

A memory

Because of my sister, I was forewarned when the first attack came. The odd thing was, they attacked me when I was walking near a church. When I was puched back into the grounds of th church, I noticed something.
Try as they might, the demons could not enter the church! Something was pushing them away, not letting them enter at all! No matter how much they tried, they could not cross the threshold. Something at that moment came back to me.

Peace is an elusive thing...

The curtains billowed gently in the wind. The light curtains danced with the breeze, taking it at one step at a time. The moon's light flickered as the curtains made a three-way dance with the breeze and the moon. On the soft, cottony four-poster, a young princess slept unawares, of a danger looming closer and closer, like a different shade of darkness, coming to consume her...

Darkness, Part Two

Well, it takes place in Harry's sixth year. If you want to know what happened while we were *not* there you have to read Barb's work. It's called the Great Journey and it's at the top of the page behind this. So read it.

And yes, we are suspending a little bit of time-logic. Because we did not take any classes there is no need to say that we were teachers there. If you are wondering what I am saying read this journal from the beginning. And now...[Read Full Post]

That was Sukina in case none of you remembered. She was talking to me telepathically. I looked up and saw one of my sister's agents.
When we reached the Stadium, Sukina was already there with the rest of the students. All of them were ready to fight, but they were strangely silent. It was just a flimsy veil to prevent those who did not have our own supernatural skills from crossing over and getting themselves killed. The effectiveness of the veil could be questioned, as we still had a quite a number of ordinary people crossing over. Well, no system was perfect. Not at this time anyway.

Day Twenty-Six, Part Two

As we ascended, the two Unicorns sprouted wings and gracefully took off. Soon we were flying through the clouds. Hiei was holding tight unto Dianna's neck, but soon the Unicorn's defenses kicked in and he was sleeping. It was never a good idea to fly so high while awake. I was about to fall asleep when Rimana spoke to me.
Your companion must be awakened before he can be put to sleep, he said.
Does he have to be sober? I telepathed back. ...[Read Full Post]

Day Twenty-Six

Watch out for mild curses like 'idiot' in this chapter. Thanks.

The only way to get there was to fly. Real high and real fast. There's a scientific principle for that in case anyone of you wants to know. The higher you fly, the shorter the distance you have to travel. Depending on the speed you're travelling, you could reach there anywhere from a maximum of three hours to a minimum of forty minutes. I tend to be somewhere in bet...[Read Full Post]

Day Twenty-Five, Part Two

We went out into the balcony again. There was no doubt that it was not only Shiyou Ruyuki who ordered it, but also the other Gods and Goddesses. Someone must be afraid that the repercussions would spread to the Human World, or Ninjenkai as we called it. Then again, their doubts were well-founded. Ever since the removal of the Dimensional Barriers, demons and some humans were allowed to travel through and fro easily.
"I received news from Jakana," she sai...[Read Full Post]

Day Twenty-Five

The news hit us like a ton of bricks. Enki and Kokou were much-loved and admired by most of those who were living in Makai. That was not all. The Makai Tournament was coming up in a few months, coincinding with the Summer Hols of Britain. Shuura, Kurama and Hiei were supposed to take part in them.
I didn't know what that meant but I knew it had something to do with them. That was the first thought that popped into my head. The second was more sedate. Who was...[Read Full Post]

Day Twenty-Four, Part Two

We got back to the school safe and sound. I've never flown over the clouds on such a serene and beautiful night before, with the moon so close you could almost touch it. There was no wind and the night was silent. I could not fully enjoy it though. There was someone who was holding on to me and was on the verge of choking me, and I was thinking of throwing him off. Then again...
We landed on my balcony quietly and softly. My sister was awake and waiting for us, the thr...[Read Full Post]

Day Twenty-Four

I was quite satisfied with Malfoy's screams as we flew away, (as it lasted for I think, a whole two complete sentences!) when Kimoso's sudden dive scared the color from Kurama's golden eyes. The fox kitsune, one of the most powerful in Makai, was holding on to me as though I was his Saviour. Strictly speaking, I would not let any harm come to him. Six people would have had my head; Shiyou Ruyuki, Koenma (Kurama's boss), Celeste (Goddess of Death), Karma (Godd...[Read Full Post]

Day Twenty-Three, Part Four

We finally settled on letting Malfoy drop into the nearest hospital from wayyyyyy up high. The drop itself should scare him and legally speaking, I was in the clear as I would seem to help him and not harm him. Then again, I could also plead that my flying skills weren't that good.

Tne minutes later as we were atop a building, Kurama looked as though he regretted very much my suggestion earlier. Kimoso was invisible and it looked like we were sitting on no...[Read Full Post]

I completely forgot that him being a seven-foot guy meant that he would be much faster than I was and that he would almost be certain to catch me.
I got out of bed, thankful that I never wore pajamas to bed. In fact, I normally wear a large T-shirt and a pair of shorts, not much different than my training clothes, except of course for the occassional leotards. I locked the door carefully behind me and left six Shikigamis to look after my little sister. Three were at the door and three more at the windows. No harm in being overcautious.

Day Fifteen, Part Three

I waked quickly to catch up with the others. My sister did not like me to communicate with the Guardian Spirits as there was always the danger of one being pulled into their web. There was that little matter known as Forest Politics. I was seriously beginning to wonder how much alike was the East and the West. There did not seem to be any kind of 'organized' anarchy here. The trees looked as though they had been planted in orderly rows rather than g...[Read Full Post]

Day Fifteen, Part Two

After everyone had left, I went over to where my staff was standing upright in the ground. I took off my cloak and began to chant. The chant was an old one, one that I had learnt from the Goddess of Death, Celeste. It would summon the Spirit that Guarded this forest. There should be one. There was such an abundance of life here that I would be surprised if there was no spirit here. Wait, let me make that, flabbergasted.
"Daughter of Death, what are thoust do...[Read Full Post]

Day Fifteen

The man now seemed more familiar to me... Quite possibly due to the fact that his clothes were now in much less evidence than when we first met him. For some reason, him with less clothes seemed more familiar than him with more clothes. I don't know why, I tend to remember people better when they have more clothes on.
"Thank you. My companion," he hesitated when the griffon shook its' head, "and I thank you for your help," the man said in...[Read Full Post]

Day Fourteen, Part Four

As was our usual Modus Operandi, we split up. My sister was with Botan. Both of them defended themselves well enough, with Botan providing the energy shields and my sister supplying the missiles. They, whatever they were (but most likely to be youkos), were dying like flies.
None of us spared any attention to the man as we were too busy getting rid of the youkos. Notice that I said getting rid of them. They were numerous, but none of them were even close to our ...[Read Full Post]

"I'm here imouto," I stepped out of the bushes where I had hidden myself with Botan. She ran to me and hugged me close. My sister had apparently had not gotten over the fear of losing me yet.
"The creature's gone, sensei," Peter said suddenly. Here in Europe, he was the most sensitive to changes.

Day Fourteen, Part Two

We set off at a rather brisk pace. I took up the rear, with Yokoshima directly in front of me. From time to time I would rap his head sharply with the walking stick because he irritated me. There was nothing in the forest so far, but as we went along I took out the map I had managed to persuade Daniel to 'lend' to me. Kurama would stop the group once in a while to confer.
AS we walked I muttered to myself. This map was next to useless. I might as well fl...[Read Full Post]

Day Fourteen

The train pulled into the station. We got out of it, taking only a few things. None of us carried our bags, Hagrid having assured us that it would be sent straight to the school. We were going to walk through the Forbidden Forest, at night (Yes, I know you think its' suicidal) and we would separate into two teams.
Day Thirteen, Part Two

I went to where my sister was at the back of the train. She had changed from her Ceremony Robe to her normal attire. The blue jeans she wore brought out the colour of her eyes and the red checked shirt complemented her hair.
"I didn't expect him to be truly alive," she said.
"Neither did I. There was something about him that didn't ring true from the beginning. I don't like it, little sister. Too many people know who we are," I repli...[Read Full Post]

Day Thirteen

We got into the train without incident. Hagrid had gone to the front, while the boys took out a small sack. The sack contained the owner of the pet shop, whom we'd abducted just a few minutes ago. The guys had had to hit him a few times to keep him quiet during the journey from Diagon Alley to the train station, but there was no major incidents. I didn't even had to ask Kirua to 'invite' the poor guy along. Peter, Yokoshima and Shuura were way ahea...[Read Full Post]

Pets weren't really a neccessity, but it helped alleviate the boredom. I knew that Gon, Peter and maybe Shuura would want a pet for themselves.
"Owls aren't really that fun, Naoko-san. Why don't we try another shop?" Gon asked me just before we entered. This was a team effort, as the only people who l...[Read Full Post]

Day Eleven, Part Three

We stood in the center of a large clearing. There was a ring of people around us, as I had suggested not to let Diagon Alley be destroyed because of our duel. Even though Lucius had sneered, he agreed. We stood perhaps ten paces from each other, but the others kept themselves as far away from us as they could without actually losing sight of the action. Duels like this, I could guess, were unthinkable. Well, maybe for them. This would also be a good chance to test...[Read Full Post]

Different times and different proposes would have different effects. However, I was not sure as to whether the powder was comaptible with Sapplefuss, a...[Read Full Post]

Day Five

"Of all the -bleep- -bleep- -bleeeeeeeeeeeeppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- This had to happen, it had to happen today! What the heck got into you??!!" I was saying to one of my girls . I couldn't believe that two weeks of preparation had gone down the drain, just like *makes motion of snapping fingers* simply because one of my girls had an insatiable curiousity about the woman I was sending to Hogwarts.
"Well," the girl began as I ...[Read Full Post]

Day Four

Sapplefuss was understandably oevrjoyed when I showed her the two mags. Her plane tickets had disappeared into her pockets, as well as the letter of recommendation from Koenma. She read them, and then flipped the pages to where the man of her *sic!* dreams was posing in the moving pictures.
"Where did you get these?" she asked me as she looked hungrily through the pages.
"That's for me to know. Why?" I asked her.
"Do you know that even...[Read Full Post]

Day Three, Part Two

The sweltering heat of Petaling Street really got to me as I trampled around, looking for a certain shop. There was no guarantee that it was still here. It had been five years since I last visited this shop, even though I had passed here quite often when I was in a high school in this area.
"Magical Items are found where one is least likely to find it. They must be out in the open," I remember hearing one of my teachers saying when he took me here for th...[Read Full Post]

Day Three

By now, I guess, I seem to be moving a little too fast. I'll try and clear this up. The days are merely as numbers in this journal. The events takes place over a period of time, so I'll mention when it's been three days, two days, etc. Day One, Part Two, etc means that the events took place in the space (no pun intended) of a single day. So, I hope you enjoy reading this! :) Please, rate and review as well. The button is at t...[Read Full Post]

Day Two, Part Two

"WHAT????" Sapplefuss fairly shouted into my ear when I told her what I had in mind.
"Look, I need informtaion on what is going on in England, and I don't have any contacts in Hogwarts, well," I thought for a moment, "Not yet anyway."
"Why do you want me to go there for?" she asked me, suspicion in her voice.
"You were the one who told me that she was taking up a new job at Hogwarts. Besides, I need someone who kn...[Read Full Post]

Day Two

"What the hell do you mean he's back?" the voice of a young Caucasian woman could be heard, I swear, even from my other ear, which meant that she could be heard from the other side of the world.
"I mean exactly that, Jenny. Old Moldy's back, at least according to Koenma. I took the time to talk to Shiyou Ruyuki last night after I got back, and she concurred. According to her, Reina, their Goddess of Death, said that she could no longer...[Read Full Post]

Day One, Part Three

I wished I had never met him in the first place. He would have been the only one who would know what was going on in both the REal World and the Spirit World.
"Koenma," I said cordially.
"Hello Naoko. We have a new assignment for you, if you don't mind taking it," he asid.
"Like I.... what the hell???!!!" I exclaimed as I took in the handsome young man standing in front of me when I turned to see him behind me.
He grinned at me,...[Read Full Post]

Day One, Part Two

I stood in front of a tall, nondescript building done all in white. A cycnical smile touched my lips. Nothing much had changed. The most ironic part of this was the fact that the building not only housed the Interpol's South-Asian Division branch, but also the very same people who would have objected to the formation of the DarkLight Association. The security guards took notice of my definately-unIslamic clothing and tried to stop me from entering.
Talking w...[Read Full Post]

Day One

It had been several years since I last stepped into the Interpol building. I was in the Interpol Youth Branch, Special Division. I was in the SD, as we called it, because of my Physic Powers. Physic in this sense, was used with broad strokes, as each of us had a different power. Some of them had telepathy and other forms of 'tele' powers. I too, had limited telepathy, but access was blocked and I could only communicate with my sister in Japan over a 3.5km ...[Read Full Post]
